Natural Hair Masks for Dry Hair

Many people have dry hair. Such type of hair is susceptible to split ends and it is also difficult to style and comb it.

People with dry hair also suffer from dry scalp. If you have this problem, then you should opt for natural hair masks that can treat dryness of the scalp and hair simultaneously.

The best part is that hair masks can be made at home using proteins and oils. As a matter of fact, most commercial products contain the same ingredients to give the same results. However, homemade hair masks don’t have a fragrance, so if you want a fragrance, you will be better off using a commercial product.

To make a hair mask at home, take half cup mayonnaise and mix a single egg in it. You can even add half a mashed banana into the mixture to give off some fragrance. Blend the ingredients well. Apply the hair mask into your hair and put on a shower cap to ensure that it penetrates deep into your scalp.

Wait for a minimum of 30 minutes before rinsing your hair. If you want you can keep the mask for even an hour. After rinsing the mask off, apply shampoo with conditioner.

This homemade mask with nourish your hair and prevent it from drying out. Apply it as and when you feel that your hair has become too dry.

Some people also use egg and olive oil as a hair mask. Take enough olive oil in a bowl and mix one egg into it. Apply the oil mixture as described previously. Let the oil stand for 45 minutes before washing it off using a moisturizing shampoo. Don’t forget to condition your hair after shampooing.

Many people find this natural hair mask as effective in combating dryness as the previous one.

Natural hair masks are the answer to dull and dry hair. They help to replenish lost moisture and oils, and also help in conditioning and nourishing the hair. You will notice a difference from the first use itself.
